Vetrii Deploys Its Sovereign L1 on Tanssi to Power Digital Vehicle Passport in Brazil

Vetrii Deploys Its Sovereign L1 on Tanssi to Power Digital Vehicle Passport in Brazil. The platform is engineered by Vetrii and HOUS3, with Tanssi providing the sovereign execution layer designed for national-scale vehicle tokenization and traceability.

The platform is engineered by Vetrii and HOUS3, with Tanssi providing the sovereign execution layer designed for national-scale vehicle tokenization and traceability.

Vetrii has deployed the Tecpar Blockchain on Tanssi mainnet, advancing its strategy to bring the Digital Vehicle Passport to production in the state of Paraná, Brazil. The platform is being developed with HOUS3, which leads the architecture and software engineering behind the passport. With decentralized L1 infrastructure-as-a-service and rapid deployment tools from Tanssi, Vetrii now has the scale and predictability required for nationwide vehicle tokenization and lifecycle traceability.

Blockchain introduces a new execution layer for Brazil’s automotive ecosystem, enabling national-scale vehicle tokenization, registration, lifecycle traceability, and property transfer.

Vetrii works with sector regulators and major industry players to digitize the lifecycle of vehicles, batteries, and components. The chain supports Digital Vehicle Passports, instant, verified ownership transfers, and secure integration with banks, insurers, OEMs, and dealerships.

A New Infrastructure Layer for Brazil’s Automotive Market

Brazil has one of the largest and most complex automotive markets in the world:

  • 89 million active vehicles

  • More than 26 million registration events per year.

  • Over 40 percent are affected by fraud.

  • More than 55 percent of consumers consider the vehicle’s origin the most essential factor when purchasing a car.

Data shows: 89 million active vehicles. More than 26 million registration events per year. Over 40 percent are affected by fraud. More than 55 percent of consumers consider the vehicle’s origin the most essential factor when purchasing a car.

Regulatory pressure is increasing as well. The European Union has mandated digital passports for electric vehicle batteries, and Brazil is advancing PL 2132, which will require digital passports for EVs.

Consumers also demand transparency. OEMs expect more than 30 percent of their ROI to come from digital services by 2030. A reliable digital foundation is now a requirement for compliance, efficiency, and trust across the entire ecosystem.

Consumers and industry players now require a digital foundation that supports verified provenance, verified history, and secure ownership. Vetrii’s L1 blockchain provides the dedicated execution environment needed to support this scale and complexity, starting with vehicle tokenization and expanding into lifecycle traceability, financing, insurance, and recycling.

What the Tecpar Blockchain Powers

Digital Vehicle Passport (DPP)

Vetrii turns each chassis, battery, and component into a verifiable digital token that stores the vehicle’s complete history. This includes maintenance records, odometer readings, ownership events, liens, battery lifecycle information, and environmental data. The Digital Vehicle Passport creates a unified and tamper-proof data layer for all stakeholders.

Verified Ownership Transfer and Delivery vs Payment

The chain supports the synchronous transfer of property for banks and insurers. This enables:

  • Loan agreement registrations

  • Digital liens

  • Insurance onboarding

  • Delivery vs Payment settlement

  • Reduced fraud risks and lower operational costs

These flows replace slow, fragmented legacy processes and enable financial institutions to launch new digital products with greater security and transparency.

Circular Economy and Compliance for the MOVER Program

  • Parts and component traceability

  • Battery lifecycle records

  • Recyclability indicators

  • Integration with regulatory authorities

The L1 supports the program’s sustainability requirements and prepares OEMs for regulatory enforcement across the whole vehicle lifecycle.

A Multi-Stakeholder Automotive Network

The Vetrii chain is designed for integration with OEMs, dealerships, regulators, banks, and insurers. HOUS3 leads the architecture and software development of the Digital Vehicle Passport platform, supporting Vetrii in unifying vehicle and lifecycle data across previously disconnected systems. The initiative has already been presented by public authorities in Paraná, reflecting growing institutional momentum behind a standardized digital vehicle record. Vetrii also works with TECPAR, DETRAN PR, BV Bank, and other ecosystem partners across financing, traceability, and secondary market processes. These integrations enable new business models and generate network effects across Brazil’s mobility ecosystem.

Why Vetrii Chose Tanssi

Vetrii expects to onboard millions of users as digital passports and lifecycle records become standard across Brazil. Projected activity exceeds 6 million wallets and 10 million transactions in 2026, rising to 28 million wallets and over 65 million transactions in 2027. Operating at this scale requires predictable performance, dedicated throughput, and full control of execution logic.

Tanssi provides this foundation through an infrastructure framework for sovereign L1 deployment. Vetrii’s chain benefits from:

  • Dedicated blockspace for consistent transaction throughput

  • Full runtime customization for automotive and regulatory logic

  • A decentralized sequencer set selected and rotated by Tanssi

  • Security aligned with Ethereum through Symbiotic restaking

  • Automatic provisioning of RPC, explorers, block production, and messaging

With Tanssi, Vetrii gains control of its execution layer without the overhead of building and maintaining a full blockchain infrastructure stack.

What Comes Next

Vetrii will continue onboarding regulatory agencies, OEMs, dealerships, banks, and insurers throughout 2025 and 2026. The chain will expand support for Digital Vehicle Passports, tokenized transfers, Delivery versus Payment settlement, and recyclable component tracking, while preparing the market for MOVER compliance, the federal program that mandates lifecycle carbon tracking and component traceability for vehicles. Vetrii is emerging as one of the first real-world infrastructure L1s built for mobility, regulation, and financial coordination.

Luis Dal Porto, the Head of Ecosystem at Tanssi, says,

“We’re seeing a shift where not just applications, but whole industries move onchain. Vetrii is building foundational infrastructure for Brazil’s automotive industry, and that requires a blockchain designed for regulation, scale, and long-term operation. Tanssi enables teams to deploy these sector-specific Layer 1s without compromising performance or control.”

The launch of the Vetrii chain signals a broader shift across the Tanssi ecosystem. Industries that depend on verified data, regulated flows, and high-volume transactions are moving to sovereign Layer 1s to gain predictable performance and complete control of execution logic. Vetrii shows how purpose-built chains can support entire sectors rather than single applications, creating the foundation for transparent, fraud-resistant, and interoperable mobility services across Brazil.
